Review: Steve Centorino, Tom’s Gourmet Marketplace

This past Saturday, my new husband, our best friends, and I headed to Northboro, MA, to watch Steve Centorino perform at Tom's Gourmet Marketplace.  We had not heard Steve perform nor been to this restaurant/shop previously.  We were delighted with both.

Steve did an excellent job combining original songs and covers throughout his two and a half hour performance.  He delivered an excellent performance, especially in light of the fact that he was supposed to have given only a one hour show.  However, with a last minute cancellation by the other performer, Steve entertained the audience with his music and

5. Schoolyard Heroes – On the heels of their latest album and first music video for "Plastic Surgery Hall of Fame", this Seattle based group has been gaining a steady cult following. They are looking to invade even more homes and create even more fans by 2009.

4. Pierce The Veil – Fueled by a pop punk rendition of Michael Jackson’s "Beat It", Pierce The Veil has been touring steadily nationwide. Another single off their debut album is "I’d Rather Die Than Be Famous". They also appeared recently on Van’s Warped Tour.

Disposable Razor

A few weeks ago we were visiting friends when my eyes fell upon a media rack. Inspecting the music, I discovered a fine collection of classic 90’s alt-rock. There amidst all the flannel I saw it: Bush’s second album, Razorblade Suitcase.



I hadn’t listened to that album in almost a decade. Needless to say I borrowed it and wore out my car stereo. I had strapped on my headphones and gone back to happier times
