Rules for the Dance: A Guide for Survival and Enjoyment of Concerts

Since there is no proper etiquette for a general admission show, I’m going to cover some ground rules and tips for surviving the floor while trying to enjoy the show.



Be sure to eat before the show and have some water. When you’re on the floor you may not get a chance to use the bathroom, so don’t drink too much. Leave a water bottle in your car for after the gig, you’ll be parched.

I've always liked alternative rock, it's not too heavy, not too light, for me it's "just right." I consider it the gray area between heavy metal and pop, though I can understand if other disagree. I really love the sound of Three Days Grace, but honestly the lyrics seem too depressing, an example track title being the well-known "I Hate Everything About You." For the same sound, but a less harsh view on life, the band I'd really like to suggest would be Creed, but unfortunately for me and many other listeners, Creed split up a few years ago. Gig Review: Nine Inch Nails, Verizon Wireless Arena, Manchester NH, 11/8/08

After a tough morning at the Phantom Gourmet Phest, I decided to follow that up with Nine Inch Nails in Manchester. How could I miss their only NH appearance? This would be my first time seeing Trent and Co. Touring behind their latest releases The Slip and Ghosts I-IV, there was plenty of new material to crush through and some classics to share.
