Where have all the New Wavers gone? Most of them have faded into oblivion but there are some who persist to exist, like Depeche Mode. I was in high school when the New Wave era invaded the airwaves, but I did not notice the invasion because I was very much into rock music-- Black Sabbath, The Scorpions, AC/DC, Led Zeppelin, Queen, and some Pink Floyd. I never cared for anything else. It was only later, when I was in college, that I learned how to listen to bands like Depeche Mode. Album Review: Beck, One Foot in the Grave, 4/14/09

I’m not usually one for ‘special editions’ or ‘reissues’, but sometimes I can be persuaded.  Especially if it is a reissue of an out-of-print Beck album with 16 extra bonus tracks.  Yes, I do already own One Foot in the Grave. I’m just a sucker for Beck, and any excuse to visit Newbury Comics is a good one.



The original 16 track album has not been tampered with at all. However, the 16 tracks that follow are an exciting mix of demos, rarities and random stuff.  Modern Guilt, Beck’s latest album, was considered to be stripped down; One Foot

There are good things and not so good things that come with having a father who's been to stardom and whose name is already etched on the face of music history. One of the good things is that it is easier to follow the father's footsteps; it's like having the road that leads to stardom already laid out for you, all you need to do is follow it. Have you checked out Prince's new website? It has been up for some time now, but it was launched officially on March 24th. The site gives fans access to his new albums, concert tickets, live performances, music videos and images, and a lot of other things that has not been given out to Prince's fans until now. When you're on the site and you have the bucks to spare for the website membership, you'll be granted access to to Prince's three new albums, Lotusflow3r, MPLSoUND and Elixir, an album by Bria Valente, Prince's protegée.
