Love him or hate him, there is one undeniable fact: Michael Jackson changed the face of pop music forever. Jackson was the perfect mix of The Beatles and Elvis Presley blending catchy pop hooks with feverish dance beats and dance moves. People either loved it and emulated him or hated it and created something different. I am aware of all the problems that he fell into during the 90s, and do not plan on discussing them, I feel his music will leave a much larger footprint on the world than anything else.

It was not her intention to become a recording artist when she uploaded her videos to Youtube, all she wanted was to show one of her friends a song she has written. But Zee Avi, a Malaysian singer-songwriter, guitarist, and ukulele player, ended up becoming a recording artist when Brushfire Records signed her a few months after her videos were on Youtube.

For a few hours Friday night it felt like 1994 all over again. This was a night of firsts: first time going to Meadowbrook Farms, first time seeing Live in concert and my first time seeing Candlebox in concert. A friend of mine could not attend the show, and rather than choke on the tickets, he passed them off to me instead, and it was a good time.
Candlebox, known for their biggest hit, “Far Behind”, opened the evening with a solid hour set of 90s rock. Throwing in tracks from their latest release, 2008’s Into The Sun, they mixed in...

Big Whiskey & the GrooGrux King was not intended by Dave Matthews Band to be a tribute to LeRoi Moore, their saxophonist, but it somehow ended that way. Moore died in an ATV accident while the band was halfway through recording the album, and the band members reacted to the loss by turning the album into their tribute to their longtime friend and comrade. The death of LeRoi somehow brought the band back to how they sounded in the 90s-- rough but clean, dark but warm, edgy but smooth.

As you grow older memories become a greater part of your life. This makes perfect sense as you have a greater pool of topics to pull memories from.
