Do you remember Dinosaur Jr? Of course, if you were born during the 70s, chances are you've listened to them when you were in college, during the era of alternative rock. I listened to them because during those times the kind of feedback and distortion that J Mascis's guitar produced was sweet to my then rebellious ears. Dinosaur Jr broke into the alternative rock scene in the early 90s (though they were formed in 1984) and influenced some of rock music's greats, like Kurt Cobain. Gig Review: Face 2 Face, Gillette Stadium, 7/18/09

Elton John and Billy Joel, one night in a huge stadium, what more could you want? Well, you might ask them to play your favorite song, and chances are they probably played a few. The evening started at 8 and ended a little after 11, but you could tell the crowd wanted more from these piano men.

I missed the opportunity to see these guys in 2002 when they hit Durham, so I took complete advantage of seeing one of my favorite groups from last decade perform. You have to hand it to these guys for coming back and reforming almost a decade after they split, people...

This is not your grandfather’s circus. This is art in the very sense of music, movement, style, everything. With an old-Europe feel, Cirque Du Soleil rolled in to Manchester for a few days, and I was lucky enough to catch one of the shows, I wish I saw it twice. Alegria (al-eh-gree-ah) is Spanish for jubilation, and if you weren’t happy by the end you were probably dead.
Cirque Du Soleil is not your average circus. Emphasis on the acrobatics and the music, the shows pull a lot of interesting talents to engage their audience. Contortionists, high flying acrobats, fire dancers,...
