During the 90’s I was too busy fussing over Nirvana to pay any attention to Pavement, which is a shame because I think I would have really liked them back when they first came out. Known for their loose riffs, witty lyrics and Stephen Malkmus, after an 11 year break Pavement reunited for a tour and I caught them in Boston.

An Airplane Carried Me to Bed: An Owl City Prelude
I have a confession to make... I like Owl City. I don't care that it blemishes my metalhead status, and I don't care what my co-workers think while I'm jamming out to it. With that out of the way, we can get down to business.

It took me a while to pick up this album. I had heard the lead single ‘Laredo’ on the radio for several weeks and broke down to grab a copy. You see, at one point I had the two previous albums by Band of Horses and I wasn’t very impressed. There were some big ideas, the albums just lumbered along and didn’t mesh well at all. Well, sometimes third time's a charm and I think that is what the band should have called this record.
What I enjoy most about this album is the big sound on each song. Not
