To say that I was disheartened by Vanessa Carlton's third album, Heroes & Thieves, would be an understatement. It sounded forced to the point that it was almost unpleasant to listen to sometimes. However, I enjoyed Carlton's previous albums enough to simply wait for her next album, hoping it would be better. Four years after the release of Heroes & Thieves, Vanessa Carlton has finally come out with a new album. Rabbits on the Run was released on July 26, 2011, and it was a pleasant surprise.
