Listen up! Haley Reinhart, who placed third on the 10th season of American Idol, has a new album. This is her first studio album and was released on May 22 of this year. It's called Listen Up! (Sorry, I couldn't resist playing that up a bit.) You'll find 10 songs on the "standard" album, but 14 if you're willing to pay the extra dollar (okay, maybe it is two dollars) for the Deluxe/Wal-Mart version.
What makes me happy about this album is that they let her powerful vocals be just that. I use "they" to arbitrarily refer to all of the production

A few weeks ago a coworker suggested I check out a song by this group that he heard on the radio and thought I would like. Later that week another friend on Facebook happened to post another track off of this album, so I decided that I should get myself a copy and see what the fuss was about. This set me on a quest to find a physical copy of the album; after some traveling and two stores I was able to obtain a copy, Avid Reader, which is bad news for you.

Journey Through Living Things by Linkin Park
by Jason Lightner June 26th, 2012 | Album Review, New Music

These guys have definitively shown that a group can put out album after album, with perpetual stylistic changes, and maintain not only artistic

What better way to bookend this week then with the fourth installment of my spotlight on the Beastie Boys? I know what you’re hungry for, Avid Reader, and I’m going to serve it to you hot and fresh.
Expanding on their idea of live instrumentation and tons of rhyming, the Boys found some clear ways to communicate their message even if Ma Bell couldn’t hack it. You might think that there isn’t much of a difference between Check Your Head and Ill Communication and you might be right to a certain degree. By this time MCA had taken the spiritual
