Anamanaguchi

It's 2013. Pop punk isn't dead, dubstep still has a place, hip-hop is as strong as ever, rock and metal have continued to evolve, and country music has somehow managed to maintain its grip on the ears of single mothers and lonely truckers across the U.S.
Meanwhile, what is it exactly that I'm listening to? Indie chiptune music by Anamanaguchi, of course.
For the uninitiated, chiptune music is a form of digital composition that uses old electronic audio gear to produce a series of bleeps, boops, and hisses that serve to create music using a variety of tones and notes.

During the mid-90’s while I was making a transition from elementary school to middle school I was unaware of the music world around me. Unless it was being pumped through the local oldies station or adult contemporary there is a good chance it flew well over my radar, Avid Reader, making me none the wiser. I happened to fall in with a crowd during middle school that had older siblings who shared their musical tastes with us, the younger oblivious masses. Listening to them talk about Nine Inch Nails, Tool, Filter, Nirvana or The Offspring was strange for me
