You ever have one of those nights where you're attempting to fall asleep, so you put on some public access channel that you're certain will be boring enough to get you to doze off and then you realize that what you're watching is something so awesome that you can't even fathom changing the channel to get the rest you so desperately need? I had one of those nights a short while ago.
I nestled in my bed, resting comfortably, and changed the channel to WETA, a Washington DC public access station. As luck would have it, an excellent documentary called

Tales of a Five-Year-Old Metalhead
Woohoo! After almost a year, I finally fixed my turntable, so guess what, folks! It's time for some metal on vinyl!

I used some simple criteria: name, promo stickers and clerk recommendation. With a band name like Explosions in the Sky, a sticker that had reviews from Filter and Mojo, then a clerk mentioning it was a solid album from an instrumental rock band; it fit my criteria.
Explosions are a four piece from Texas and have been together since 1999. Unlike Mogwai or Tortoise, Explosions seem to stay
