You could swear this album has been in a vault since the days of AM Gold radio. Zooey Deschanel’s voice is amazing and M. Ward’s arranging and guitar work are the perfect compliment. You’ve seen her in movies like Almost Famous, Yes Man, and 500 Days of Summer. You’ve heard him on his solo albums, jamming with Monsters of Folk and making a name as a singer/songwriter. Together they have crafted wonderful pop music that gets your toes tapping.

Do you remember Vanessa Carlton? Most of us know her as the one who introduced us to "A Thousand Miles," a peppy, pretty, popular, pop song (say that three times fast), back in 2002. It was a strong single, followed by "Ordinary Day." I attended her concert in Boston and was thoroughly delighted by the performance, albeit she had a cough and struggled somewhat. I bought her second album Harmonium, and I even purchased her piano books so I could recreate her beautiful medleys on my own.
