A diamond in the rough of the Internet, Incredibox is a gem that up until earlier tonight, I'd forgotten about completely. To describe this creation as simply a fun time waster is unacceptable. This, ladies and gentlemen, is a stunningly simple, yet beautiful, work of functional art.
Created by SO FAR SO GOOD, a French multimedia and design studio, Incredibox is a uniquely educational music creation tool. While some may find leisure in such a thing (and there is certainly leisure to be had), I find within Incredibox's goofy and charming design an intriguing opportunity to learn

Album Review: Rabbits on the Run
To say that I was disheartened by Vanessa Carlton's third album, Heroes & Thieves, would be an understatement. It sounded forced to the point that it was almost unpleasant to listen to sometimes. However, I enjoyed Carlton's previous albums enough to simply wait for her next album, hoping it would be better. Four years after the release of Heroes & Thieves, Vanessa Carlton has finally come out with a new album. Rabbits on the Run was released on July 26, 2011, and it was a pleasant surprise.
After Heroes & Thieves, Carlton was unsure whether or not she would

New Release: Tristan Clopet (Name It What You Want)
Nothing screams summer louder than Florida beaches; to be more specific, I should say Miami beaches. I know Will Smith had his vision of Miami and I have mine, so let’s keep it that way. Rather than send yours truly on assignment to the Sunshine State, a piece of it came to visit me from our friend Tristan Clopet. You may remember him from his Purple EP; well, he’s back with a fresh album that does well for driving around in the sun.
I recall saying that Tristan was a mix of Jeff Buckley’s vocals and Red Hot Chili

They played what?!
A while back I wrote about how I hate sifting through stupid fansites for bands when I want to know what they played at a show I could not attend. Since most of these sites are run by girls that chew far too much bubblegum or guys that have no better way to use their time, you can never just get the information you’re looking for without spending an hour clicking links. If the forum topic is ‘Post Setlists Here: No discussion’ and people spend 5 pages posting about the show, please get better admins.

Musicovery
Looking for a unique way to discover new music? I stumbled upon Musicovery.com and was immediately swept in by its innovative and effective design.
Musicovery is a music bank, organized in a way that you might not have seen before. Are you familiar with political compasses? They tell you just how far left or right you fall on the economic scale, but also whether you tend to fall on the libertarian side or the authoritarian side. What's this got to do with music? On Musicovery, you "pick" your music by moving the cursor on two distinctive "musical" compasses.
